upgrade to numpy > 2.0

I was wondering if tomotopy will upgrade its numpy dependency to > 2.XX at some point?

tomotopy v0.14.0 now supports NumPy 2.0 and later. You can safely install and use the latest NumPy releases with the current version of tomotopy without any compatibility issues.

If you run into any specific errors or edge cases with NumPy 2.x, please let us know!
