Review legacy PRs and decide if any of the functionality will be added to roadmap #127
Description
We have 2 long-standing unmerged PRs:
The code in both PRs is now out of date and would need a rebase. Since I'll be closing them, I'm leaving this issue so we keep the links and can review them in upcoming meetings to decide whether to add them back to the backlog.
