Add content on intersection points

is it possible to place labels on the intersection points between diagrams in a way that the fill of the diagram is still visible below the label but the diagram strokes maintain an offset around each label.

this is what i have currently and what i'm trying to reproduce. notice the missing $\mu$, $V$, $S$, etc. labels

Not yet possible, but I was thinking about implementing this together with the generic path shortening into cetz.
