Description

As the Clawith workspace accumulates more files over time, the current flat-file management approach becomes increasingly difficult to navigate. This issue proposes enhancing the workspace with cloud-drive-style management features to improve organization, searchability, and overall user experience.

Proposed Features

1. Search Functionality

  • Full-text search across all workspace files
  • Filter by file type, date, size
  • Fuzzy search for quick results

2. Folder Management

  • Create folders and nested directory structures
  • Drag-and-drop file upload into folders
  • Move/copy files between folders

3. Bulk Operations

  • Multi-select files for batch operations
  • Bulk delete with confirmation
  • Bulk move to folders
  • Select all / deselect all

4. View Modes

  • Grid view (icon-based)
  • List view (detailed with metadata)
  • Toggle between views with persistent preference

5. Sorting Options

  • Sort by name (A-Z, Z-A)
  • Sort by date (newest/oldest)
  • Sort by size (largest/smallest)
  • Persistent sort preference

6. Agent-Powered Organization

  • Periodic automatic file organization by Agent
  • Auto-tagging and indexing
  • Smart folder suggestions
  • Periodic cleanup of root directory clutter
  • Generate search index for faster retrieval

Benefits

  • Improved Discoverability: Users can quickly find files without scrolling through a messy root directory
  • Better Organization: Hierarchical structure mimics familiar cloud drive patterns
  • Reduced Clutter: Agent automation keeps the workspace tidy
  • Enhanced Productivity: Batch operations save time on repetitive tasks

Additional Context

This enhancement would make Clawith workspace comparable to professional tools like Google Drive, Dropbox, or Notion, providing a more polished and efficient file management experience.
