for the device token im calling FirebaseMessaging.instance.getToken() but im getting error like this on ios platform
[firebase_messaging/unknown] An unknown error has occurred.

this actually happend from december 5th onwards, it was working fine but suddenly this happend.

same way getToken calling you will get the error

Hi @Amina-UC-Dev, I'm unable to reproduce this with the firebase_messaging example app. The token is received without errors. Could you run our example app to see if the issue still persist?

I also encountered the same issue. After replacing AppDelegate with SceneDelegate in my iOS project, I am no longer able to obtain the token, although it worked correctly before the replacement. Currently, the workaround is to add application.registerForRemoteNotifications() in didFinishLaunchingWithOptions, but I’m not sure what other issues this might cause. @SelaseKay @Amina-UC-Dev

I'm having the same problem. Android works fine, and iOS was working before upgrading to iOS 26 and using the old FirebaseMessaging version 15+. After upgrading FirebaseMessaging and switching to UISceneDelegate, neither iOS 18 nor 26 can get the token; it always reports null, both for the virtual device running iOS 26.2 and the physical device running iOS 26.2.

Note that: previously, my code ran stably on both platforms. 😭😭😭

Hi all, I've been able to reproduce this on iOS 26.0 and it seems it's an issue with that particular OS version. It works fine when I tested against iOS 26.2 simulator. That said, this issue isn't in our control but rather tied to iOS 26.0.
