What would you like to be added?

Would it be possible for Gemini CLI to have a statusline which could be customized to inclue:

• Tokens In
• Tokens Out
• Cached Tokens
• Total Tokens
• Context Utilization %
• Current Plan <plan_name> Quota Reset Timer

Something along these lines:

Why is this needed?

These feature will help current developers very much as it provides much needed information about the efficiency of their currently running environment, as well as when they can re-engage shall daily quota reached.

This is a feature request for a new UI element (a status line) to improve the user experience by providing real-time information on token usage and quotas.

We've been discussing this in the past few weeks, may be a duplicate of #5260

This will likely mean one or both of these:

1. We add these as built-in features that users can toggle
2. We add the ability to allow users to customize the entire footer/status bar with their own items

#5260 seems specific to displaying tokens. I believe this FR is for generally being able to customize the footer
