Doesn't follow iOS App Store Guidelines for Camera Permissions #527

@coderforlife

Description

@coderforlife

SPECIFIC ISSUE ENCOUNTERED

Just submitted an app for review to the App Store using the SDK, and it was rejected since if the user does not grant camera permissions, the app forces the settings page to open automatically. Apparently, you are supposed to instead show a message about why it is important and give them the option to go to the permission settings page or skip (doing the same thing as the skip button does*).

SMARTPHONE (please complete the following information):

  • OS
    • Android
    • iOS

EXPECTED BEHAVIOR

Denying camera permissions should not jump to the app permission settings page automatically without informing the user first.

VERSIONS USED

What version of Google Cardboard are you using?
Cardboard SDK v1.30.0
