Are we happy to proceed with Go 1.17 as the test environment ? I can configure this to run a matrix across a series of versions, but I'm somewhat hopeful that Go versions shouldn't play too heavily into this. Regardless, if someone thinks it will add value, I'll go ahead and do so.
