Allow maintenances to update custom fields

I’d like to know if it's possible to log a maintenance entry and have it update the asset's general info?

Example:
The asset's model has a custom field called "RAM" with 16 GB.
If I upgrade a specific asset that inherited 16 GB from the model by adding another 16 GB, can the asset automatically reflect 32 GB of RAM (without changing the model)?

I know I can log maintenance, but it seems like it's only for notes or extra info
it doesn’t actually update the asset’s data.
