Hello Snipe-IT team!

First of all, as always, thank you for the great piece of software that Snipe-IT represents for all of us IT folks.

A feature that would be very useful for our use case would be to calculate something like a “Cumulative cost” or “historical cost” in the asset detail view, by summing up maintenance entries that have a cost. In other words, calculating the purchase cost plus any maintenance costs the asset has had (similar to how user-associated costs are calculated by summing assets, licenses, etc.).

It would also be great if this field could appear as a column in the asset list and in exports, just like the purchase cost (I understand this might be more complex than it sounds).

Use case:
For example, we have annual warranty renewals for each server, switch, etc., and we log them as maintenance entries on the asset.
It would be very helpful to have that information unified in the asset detail view, and to be able to quickly export the total historical spend of each asset as bulk.

I understand that this can be somehow achieved now by filtering per asset in the maintenance report, but that requires filtering asset by asset and then manually building a table.

As a simpler alternative (I think), it could be useful to add the total sum of maintenance costs directly within the asset’s maintenance tab, so it’s easier to access (similar to how the maintenance report calculates totals).
