META-INF/groovy-release-info.properties missing in batch compiler JAR

Background: When compiling and transforming Spock tests, more recent versions of Spock access ReleaseInfo.RELEASE_INFO which in turn needs access to META-INF/groovy-release-info.properties. The latter resource is missing in the batch compiler's uber JAR, rendering it impossible for Spock to compile with GrEclipse. Manually copying the resource file into the batch compiler JAR fixes the problem.

To do:

• Adjust the build process to include the missing resource file from the upstream Groovy dependency.
• I noticed the problem in Groovy 4.0.x. Please also check if it needs to be fixed for older or newer Groovy versions.

How about prepending a comment and leaving the line commented out? A non-existent line will not stop anyone from adding it again in the future, not knowing or remembering why it was left out. I was thinking about something like this:

I can confirm that groovy-eclipse-batch 4.0.29-02 now has version info in its belly and hence plays nice with Spock, too. Thanks for the swift response and release.
