Description of problem:
Abode recently released an update that allows for activating 2FA on your account. I turned this ON and then remembered that it probably wouldnt work with Home Assistant. I turned it back OFF. However, it still is not working even after a reboot of hassio. It gives a card with Abode Security Setup - Error: validation failed. You will need to restart hass after fixing. I have triple checked my settings and everything looks correct in terms of the yaml and I double checked my credentials on the abode website. Those seem to work fine.

@arsaboo Thanks. Embarrassingly, I didnt check closed issues. Do you (or anyone) know if there is a way to easily do this with an hassio image? I has SSH'd into the raspberry pi but I only have simple hassio commands. I cannot run pip3.

Use custom_components.

I added a folder to my config. So it looks like this...

config/custom_components/abode.py

The abode.py has the latest from the dev branch. I restarted hassio and I get the same results. I wonder if it is because of requirements.txt (based on the PR you linked). But if so, I dont know where to put it.

Yes, that looks about right. I have mine here and it is working fine. If you are on Hassio, you can install the latest beta that has the Abode fix.

Your abode.py file's contents worked perfectly for me. I assume that I just need to remove this file when the next official release comes out. I appreciate your help @arsaboo. I'm sorry I didn't check closed issues first.
