How to create multi-measure crescendos? #2219

I have a crescendo of one pattern repeated 4 times, each repeat is a bit louder. Is there a way to do this in the song editor? Or do I have to create a new pattern for each volume level? Relatedly, if I had a pattern of 8 straight hits that is crescendoing, how would I accomplish that? It seems like you can set the levels for each instrument in a pattern but not for each hit? So would I have to copy the instrument 8 times to set 8 different levels? |

Hey @montyz ,
Yes. In the main menu > View > Automation Path you can access a widget allowing you to change the overall velocity of all notes within a song.
In the bottom-most section of Hydrogen there is a ruler allowing you to change the velocity of individual notes (see http://hydrogen-music.org/documentation/manual/manual_en.html#chpt.pattern_editor.note_properties). |
