Adds additional checks for valid input to the
convert_image()function, with more descriptive error messages.The general runtime error raised when any worker encountered an exception is also a little more descriptive. It also gives an additional warning that exported items (e.g. images) may be incompletely processed because of parallel workers, but only if there are > 1 workers active.
