Inquiry: Importing ITAN Global Publishing Catalog to Open Library #12091
Description
Dear Open Library Team,
I hope this message finds you well.
My name is Mopelola Adeniyi, and I represent ITAN Global Publishing, a digital publishing platform dedicated to amplifying African voices and making African literature more accessible to readers around the world.
We are writing to explore the possibility of importing the ITAN Global Publishing catalog into Open Library. Our platform hosts a growing collection of titles across multiple genres, including literary fiction, speculative fiction, romance, Christian fiction, political thrillers, young adult literature, and many other contemporary African narratives.
As part of our mission to improve global discoverability for African authors, we believe inclusion in Open Library would significantly enhance the accessibility of these works to researchers, librarians, students, and general readers worldwide. We also recognize the important role Open Library plays, through the work of Internet Archive, in preserving and providing open access to bibliographic records and digital knowledge resources.
We would be grateful for guidance on the appropriate process for importing or contributing our catalog metadata. Our titles are accompanied by complete publishing metadata, including ISIN, a unique book Id generated by ITAN during the publishing process, author information, cover images, publication dates, descriptions, and genre classifications.
Our goal is to ensure that African-authored works published on ITAN can be easily discovered and referenced within global library systems and research environments.
Please let us know the next steps for initiating this collaboration. We would be happy to provide any additional information required.
Thank you for the invaluable work you do in expanding access to books and bibliographic knowledge.
Warm regards,
Founder/CEO- Mopelola Adeniyi
