Description
A week ago, Google released a new version of Noto Color Emoji. In it, several existing emoji designs were changed (whether it be color or direction) to match other vendors, 🪒 (1FA92), 📏 (1F4CF), and 📐 (1F4D0) being example of said color changes. These three alone brought to light the possible need for a direction and color change to emoji in Twemoji such as 1FA92, as well as the need to change the color of emoji such as 1F4CF to match other vendors. Changes like changing 🚠 (1F6A0) from red to blue or changing 🔦 (1F526) from the upper left position to the lower left position will likely help interopability especially with the release of Unicode 15.1 in 2023 and the new directional specifications and pointers for emoji that came with it.
Attached is an example of 📏 (1F4C5) and of the existing interopability between emoji, with Twemoji as the prime example of its lack.
