MenuItem hover animation disappears after click #1394

Describe the bug
The MenuItem in a Menu has a great hover animation but if you click the button it will disappear until you move your mouse outside and then back on the button.
To Reproduce
Open WPF UI Gallery go to menu and click on the "bold" button.
Expected behavior
I would expect the hover animation to disappear (or be dimmed like in WinUI 3 with the CommandBar things) while you press the button but once release it should reappear.
