I am trying to build a project of mine that has lsqlite3 as a dependency, which depends on sqlite3.

lx --verbose build 
Error: syncing dependencies with the project lockfile failed.
Use --no-lock to force a new build.

I am able to install lsqlite3 via luarocks or nix but I want my users to just use lux. I have pkg-config and sqlite.dev in the devShell.

I remembered that luarocks was able to build only once I had created .luarocks/config-5.1.lua:

and once I exported the "variables" bit, lux started to work better until it failed with

I started writing this to ask if exporting the variables like XXX_INCDIR was the only/best supported lux way ?
then I found this bug in 0.17.0.

EDIT: 0.17 is quite old, updating my flake
