Library not loaded: [...]libc++.1.0.dylib after installing with cargo binstall lux-cli --locked on MacOS

Following the instructions in the documentation, I ran:

Similarly, cargo install lux-cli --locked also fails as such:

To reuse those artifacts with a future compilation, set the environment variable `CARGO_TARGET_DIR` to that path.

This isn't a bug. As the error message says, your system is missing the libc++.1.0.dylib dynamic library.

I don't think so, since I already have xcode tools installed (xcode-select --install).

Worth noting is that for some reason the binary is trying to find the libc++.1.0.dylib library in my /nix/store, even though this is unrelated to Nix.

It's not only searching in the nix store.
It's just listing all the locations it tried in one line.

If this is a cargo-binstall issue, there's not much we can do.
I'm working on binary distributions in #877.
Until that's done, I recommend you build from source or using nix.
