A standalone experimental app called Sessions requires an app icon. The app essentially is a lightweight version of VS Code focussed on agent workflows:

The current icon looks like this:

Some input from the engineers:

It does not have to be the final thing and I would not generate fuzz about it, but ideally it looks nice alongside VS Code logo somehow.

Ideally it comes in the blue, green, orange flavour (to match the VS Code icon versions)

- what are the requirements (dimensions, formats,) - conceptually, should this adhere to the original chat bubble + sparkle? If not, do the engineers have guidance around visual metaphors? concepts, ideas, etc...?

Format: I think .icns, but I'll handle that step :)

Let's start with the chat sparkle concept first - feel free to take elements from the VS Code icon & riff on them!

@mrleemurray @davidhosejr this is a good start, thank you for driving this so fast! I like that the icon feels like its from the VS Code brand, so the apps relate to each other.

From the perspective of what the app does, I am not 100% sold on the idea to show a chat bubble though. It is true that natural language is mainly used to interact with the app, but its not really about chatting, more about creating software using agents and everything that is around that. So I wonder if we could have less emphasis on chat-bubbles/chat-things and more emphasis on AI and software engineering? I know its probably not easy to find something that resembles this, but then again, the VS Code icon is also very abstract, so maybe another abstract icon is fine too.
