There is a corresponding change on the native side.
Basically, to ensure we can request custom configurations 'out of band', as well as have them remain in sync with settings change/lifecycle messages, this change generates two notifications - one at higher priority and one at normal priority. This should address the case of a requested custom configuration racing with reset of custom configurations due to settings changes.
