People wanting to install the GNU gettext tools may want to do that by running

winget install gettext

BTW at the moment, the gettext moniker is assigned to two packages:

• GnuWin32.GetText
• mlocati.GetText

So, users have to specify the exact package ID.

Provided that:

1. the latest version of GnuWin32.GetText is 0.14.4 (dating back to 2005)
2. it's not clear (at least to me) how GnuWin32.GetText is compiled
3. the latest version of mlocati.GetText is 1.0 (published on 2026)
4. on the homepage of gettext there's a link to the GitHub repository providing the installers of mlocati.GetText:

   Michele Locati kindly provides precompiled binaries for Windows on his site

5. the installers of mlocati.GetText are created by a publicly visible pipeline and associated with immutable GitHub releases

What about removing the gettext moniker from GnuWin32.GetText?
