Proposed functionality
Add tests covering the iterative merge strategy. Follow the tests that are currently done for the squash merge strategy in test_merge, but remove the squash merge specific strategies.
Use case
Currently the squash merge strategy has tests under test_merge but there are no tests for the iterative merge strategy.
