better way to check if platform is windows

any updates on this issue? I too think it'd be useful to check more specifically this way. My use case is actually getting this to work on linux which should also work if you reversed the logic. It's not clear if this repo is actively maintained but it sounds like either @sbansal6 or I could do a PR if there is interest.
