Regarding Issue #1338, it provides an extension that parses diffview info and provides a similar context to the native diffview winbar info.
As diffview does not provide any api for this purpose, and the local variabes are not accessible, the extension provides the required function to retrieve git information.
TODO: (help needed) apply to all filetypes but excluded ones.
