On hold, as I wanted to research a bit more about the license beforehand. My first impression was that it is not FOSS – and that has been confirmed. Also, the whole FUTO topic is somehow a bit strange ...

Now, I'm closing here as the keyboard isn't FOSS unfortunately. Nevertheless, thank you for the contribution.

I hadnt done a deep dive into FUTOs licensing until today. The discourse around their license is interesting but it seems the consensus is that its "open source" but not FOSS. Personally, Ill be taking a look at some of the other options and it looks like Florisboard might be a better alternative.

FUTO themselves consider "Source First" license not Open Source. They used to call it "opensource" but not anymore.

You're free to use FUTO apps if you prefer just note that it's not foss according to our standard.
