Invalid openid.mode: '<No mode set>'

Hello I have seen this issue occurring a bit lately.

I ran into this: omab/django-social-auth#501

And I too am behind nginx, although, I'm not sure if that's still an issue with python-social-auth. I did not see any option for "SOCIAL_AUTH_REDIRECT_IS_HTTPS" in the docs (and it appears I have it set to True in my settings anyhow)

Also, it seems odd that it's working some of the time but not others. Any pointers for me on where to look?

Second setting at http://psa.matiasaguirre.net/docs/configuration/settings.html#processing-redirects-and-urlopen, without further details I cannot say what could be going on. Any traceback?

Checked more closely in the logs, all the instances of this 500 are from a single user who keeps on crawling/spamming /login/google/ requests then incorrect /complete/ URL's. Not sure if I should catch this exception and display something else or just let them be weird.

Anyways sorry for the false alarm.
