Problems with QT styles

I noticed a little problem: Dolphin's AppImage can't use the QT Breeze, Oxygen, and kvantum styles. I tested it on KDE and Kubuntu 25.04, and only the Fusion style works.

There is only support for qt6ct and gtk3 styles, You can use them by setting QT_QPA_PLATFORMTHEME=qt6ct or QT_QPA_PLATFORMTHEME=gtk3.

I think I can add the kvantum styles as well, but breeze is a no no here since that draws a lot of kde dependencies.

The styles? Yes they are qss stylesheets, you can usually load them manually as well by passing -stylesheet /path/to/stylesheet when launching the appimage.

Stuff like kvantum and qt6ct automate this.

However you cannot use kvantum or qt6ct style plugins of the host, they are incompatible libraries since they need a matching Qt version, this has to come bundled in the appimage, which we already do for the gtk3 and qt6ct style plugins.

Btw, there is a fork of qt6ct that adds support for kde, however as expected it has a bunch of KDE dependencies:
