Uparted - a port of GNU parted to UEFI

This repo is a port of uparted to UEFI, including the scripts to build it.

Requirements

libuuid libuuid-devel nasm acpica-tools

Building

To start, you need to set up the repository. Do this:

git clone https://github.com/pmozil/uparted
cd uparted
. scripts/setup_repo.sh

This inits and updates the submodules.

To esetup env, do

. setup_env.sh

The space is important - the vars need to be exported to this shell!

To compile, oyu can do

./scripts/build_apps.sh <PATH_TO_DSC_FILE>

Or

./scripts/build_app_pkg.sh

To launch, you need to install OVMF, and export the path to it, like this:

export OVMF_PATH=<path_to_ovmf>

If you installed the ovmf system-wide, it may be located at /usr/share/edk2-ovmf/x64/OVMF.fd. You can also compile and install it manually, using build --platform=OvmfPkg/OvmfPkgX64.dsc --arch=X64 --buildtarget=RELEASE --tagname=GCC5. Then replace the path with Build/OvmfX64/RELEASE_GCC5/FV/OVMF_CODE.fd.

Then run

./scripts/run_qemu.sh <PATH_TO_EFI_EXEC_OUTPUT_DIR>

like this:
