Over the network, the path argument gets filled with the edl string. This easily surpasses the shell/OS character limit. The fix is to pass the edl string to the socket instead.

Fixes #152, #126. I only have a linux machine, so I cannot test this for other OSes.
I am aware of #147 but this is a quick fix that works right away.
