Currently, the GitHub Android app allows creating new files but does not provide an option to upload files from the device. Adding an "Upload File" feature would make it easier to add images, scripts, and other assets directly from mobile devices.
Proposed Enhancement
Add an "Upload File" button alongside the "Create File" option.
Allow selecting files from local storage.
Provide basic file management features (rename, delete before committing).
Use Case
Many developers and content creators use GitHub on mobile to manage repositories. Being able to upload files without switching to a desktop would improve workflow efficiency.
