Support for Python >=3.10

The codebase is currently support Python 3.9, I believe it's important for us to adapt code to be compatible with this newer version, python >=3.10.

Expected Behavior:
Code should be compatible with Python 3.10 without any errors or warnings.

I should note that I attempted this installation on a macOS Ventura with an Apple M2 chip. I've encountered similar installation issues with the M1 in the past. Is there a solution for this problem?

Hey Lu Zhu! When I ask "Can you be more specific?" I am asking for a reproducible case. For instance something like a step-by-step case maybe log output from your terminal, somewhat normal-ish bug report stuff. Whilst I would like to help, your reply is too light on details for me to understand exactly which problem you mean by "Is there a solution for this problem?" and I'm too short of time to do that work for you.

I am using tmap myself on 3.10.14 on m1 and m2 machines, intel amd64 and aarm64 linux boxes and have no problems to write home about, although it is sometimes slow.

Hi, I have been trying to install tmap, previously using Python 3.11.7. I then created a conda environment with Python 3.9 due to receiving the error message below, but have also received this error when trying to install tmap using an older Python version. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
