Browser: Edge (Version 145.0.3800.22), Chrome (Version 144.0.7559.110)
Screen readers: NVDA (2025.3.2), JAWS (2026.2512.50), Narrator
URL: https://quilljs.com/docs/quickstart

User Impact:
Screen reader users will be impacted as the control has no visual label, making it difficult to understand its purpose. This can lead to confusion, incorrect actions, and slower task completion.

Pre-Requisite:

  1. Turn on Screen Readers:
  • NVDA: Ctrl + Alt + N
  • JAWS: Ctrl + Alt + J
  • Narrator: Ctrl + win + Enter
  1. Verbosity:
  • NVDA: Default
  • JAWS: Beginner, Highest
  • Narrator: Default

Repro Steps:

  1. Open the URL: https://quilljs.com/docs/quickstart in edge/chrome browser in windows.
  2. Press tab key to navigate to the 'Run Code' control and press enter key.
  3. Press tab key to navigate to the 'Normal' control using tab key.
  4. Verify whether Visual label is not provided for the 'Normal' control in windows or not.

Actual Result:
Visual label is not provided for the 'Normal' control in windows.
Screen reader is announcing as: Normal button Collapsed
