MessageMetadata status remains PROCESSING even after successful handling

What's not working?
The MessageMetadata entry remains in status = PROCESSING even after successful handling, instead of changing to SUCCESSFUL. Note that the linked job that encapsulates the messageMetadata, is changed eventually to status SUCCESSFUL.
Is this expected behavior?

@ptheohar thanks for the bug, I do not need any more detail. This is due to a code issue will be fixed in release though it does not impact any usual message processing let me know if it's otherwise.
