Stream stalling issue with hls.js 1.2.9

We recently encountered a stream stalling issue on Tizen 2019, Tizen 2018 and LG 2019.
Chromium versions of those year modules are: 63, 56 and 53.
The hls.js version we are using is 1.2.9.

The issue only happens when the stream is switching from a SSAI ads to the main content and
it doesn't happen every time, the frequency is very random as well.

We have been looking into almost everywhere in the codebase:
most of the controllers: abr, audio-stream, buffer, fragment, gap, id3 track, level, stream and
most of the loaders: fragment, playlist etc.
But nothing seem to improve the issue with playing multiple config options till
switching liveDurationInfinity to true.

Even tho it fixes the issue, we don't really have a clear understanding of what causes this issue.
Anyone got a good diagnosis?

All that enabling liveDurationInfinity does is prevent HLS.js from setting MediaSource duration. Instead it updates seekable TimeRanges. This makes the HTMLMediaElement interface for Live playback match that of Safari where video.duration is Infinity while playing a live HLS stream, and video.seekable.start(0) and video.seekable.end(0) match the sliding playlist window available for playback.
