Several of our controllers support the Ethernet module, so we figured it best to leave it as simply "RGB2Go" in the menu, as opposed to "RBG2Go" Tetra.

Walkthrough

The change updates the label text for an Ethernet type option in the WiFi settings HTML interface, renaming the option with value "6" from "ESP32Deux/RGB2Go Tetra" to "ESP32Deux/RGB2Go". No other code or functionality is modified.

260-266: Label text updated – double-check docs & translations
Change itself is harmless (text node only), but remember to:

  1. Update any help-pages / tooltips that still reference “RGB2Go Tetra”.
  2. Refresh translation .jsons so all locales show the new label.
Otherwise UI inconsistencies may slip through.

PR: wled/WLED#4482
File: wled00/udp.cpp:147-149
Timestamp: 2025-02-19T12:43:34.200Z
Learning: In WLED, maximum segment name length varies by platform:
- ESP8266: 32 characters (WLED_MAX_SEGNAME_LEN = 32)
- ESP32: 64 characters (WLED_MAX_SEGNAME_LEN = 64)
This platform difference can cause truncation when syncing longer names from ESP32 to ESP8266. Additionally, the WLED UI has limitations regarding modified maximum segment name lengths.
