Only boots into program when I SSH

I am using the 2.2 version. I put the instructed lines at the bottom of the bashrc. The program runs fine. The waveshare works fine, but it only loads the program when I SSH into the pi. It does not run when I boot up the pi. Please help me.

So I've realized that bash only works when there is a login. My screen appears blank, but I entered my username, hit enter, then my password, followed by enter. The program loaded. Is there a way to make any of that appear on the screen, or to create an auto login? There wasn't the option for auto login in raspi-config
