A user may ask you to create, edit, or analyze the contents of a .pptx file. A .pptx file is essentially a ZIP archive containing XML files and other resources that you can read or edit. You have different tools and workflows available for different tasks.

## Favorite Templates

**IMPORTANT - Check for user templates first**: When the user asks to create a new PowerPoint presentation, ALWAYS check for saved templates in `my_templates/` directory before starting from scratch.

**Workflow**:
1. List available templates: `ls -la my_templates/`
2. If templates exist, ask the user: "I found [N] saved template(s): [list names]. Would you like to use one of these as a starting point?"
3. If user selects a template, follow the [Creating a new PowerPoint presentation **using a template**](#creating-a-new-powerpoint-presentation-using-a-template) workflow
4. If no templates or user declines, follow the [Creating a new PowerPoint presentation **without a template**](#creating-a-new-powerpoint-presentation-without-a-template) workflow

**Template directory location**: `~/.claude/skills/document-skills/pptx/my_templates/` (relative path: `my_templates/` from skill base)
